Girly Girl

I love both of my girls, but after years of having a tomboy, I need Georgia to be a girly girl. So, yesterday we tried pig tails for the first time. She did pretty good and managed to keep them in for about an hour. Well she better get used to it...I downloaded a template so I can learn to french braid. LOL

Adventures in Mothering

This is the theme for MOPS this year. WOW! Having a 12 year old and a 17 month old makes my everyday life an adventure, so I am really looking forward to this year.

Georgia did really well and enjoyed playing with kids her own age. Her class consists of children between one and two. The Moppets story was from Genesis Chapter 2 verses 4-9 and 15-25. This is when God made Adam and Eve. I am sure Georgia didn't understand, but I still think it's important to hear it. They played lots of games, listened to music and had snack. Fun times! We can't wait for next month.

New Shoes

We went to Stride Rite for new shoes today. Apparantly I am a frequent shopper so on my next purchase I will get $12 off! Georgia had fun trying on all the shoes and taking them off the racks. There were lots of fancy styles, but we went for the simple brown ones for fall. She has grown two and a half sizes since her birthday. She is now a 61/2.

Grandma Sue gave her the new dress. In the pictures she is singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Mississippi Trip

I just wanted to post a few pictures from my trip back home in July. I had a good time, but it was a little difficult at times. My sister and her husband live on a farm and they have cows right out side their back door. Georgia thought it was great, but she didn't get too close.

I got to catch up with some old friends and went to my nephew's wedding.

Sophie and Georgia love to wrestle. Of coarse Georgia wins! They are just too cute. I took a video of them, but I might have to get help getting that posted. We are going to Minnesota in a couple of weeks and Chrissy is going to help me out.
*** In my last post I made it sound like Sophie is in high school. She is only in junior high. They have a 7th and 8th grade section at the stadium. Junior high is enough for me to handle at this point.

First Football Game

Sophie went to her first high school football game last night. She wore her school shirt and even painted her hair. The two local high schools were playing each other so pretty much the whole town was there. She had a blast and her team, The Titans, won!!!
